Ezo-Yamazakura cherry trees all blooming at once

Kaguraoka Park is located in a hilly area south of Asahikawa Station, across the Chubetsu River that runs through the city. Kaguraoka Park is one of the best cherry blossom viewing spots in the city, with many Ezo Yamazakura cherry trees in full bloom every year from early to mid-May. When the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, the park attracts a large number of visitors and is crowded with people viewing the flowers.
