In August 2000, it was registered as Hokkaido's 66th roadside station, Asahikawa.
Michi no Eki Asahikawa is located along Route 237 and is only 5 minutes from JR Asahikawa Station across the Crystal Bridge, making it easily accessible from the center of Asahikawa City.
In addition, four major national highways (National Highways 12, 39, 40, and 237) run through Asahikawa City, making it a very convenient central base for sightseeing in the region.
Michi no Eki Asahikawa has a store selling a wide variety of local products, a food court where you can taste local gourmet foods, and provides tourist information and other information on the food and culture of the northern part of Hokkaido.
The museum also has a large exhibition hall for holding various events, etc., and rental rooms for training and conferences.
