Overview

This art museum, as a sculpture-specialized art museum commemorating the sculptor "Teijiro Nakahara" (from Meiji 21st year to Taisho 10th year) associated with Asahikawa, who left excellent achievements in Japan's modern sculpture history, was opened in 1994 (Heisei 6th year).
Teijiro's works and, besides the permanent exhibition of Nakahara Teijiro Award winning works, along with carrying out various projects concerning sculpture such as special exhibitions, lectures, courses, etc., and carrying out the collection of materials concerning sculpture and sculptors, it is carrying out activities with individuality suitable for "Asahikawa, the city of sculpture".
