Shihoro Kogen Nupuka no Sato

Shihoro Kogen is an excellent view spot from which you can see the entire Tokachi Plain. On a clear day, you can see the horizon stretching far into the distance from an elevation of 600 meters.

A 20-minute drive from downtown Shihoro will take you along a gentle slope, and you will see the Daisetsuzan Mountains' East Nupukausinupuri approaching closer and closer. The grandeur of the mountains will take your breath away, and when you look back, the panoramic view spreading out before your eyes will take your breath away. It is a luxurious place where you can feel the clean air and wind all around you as you look out over the endless Tokachi Plain.

You can enjoy the great outdoors all to yourself at the campground, or stay in a cottage with a kitchen as if you were staying in a vacation home. Forget about time and enjoy the great outdoors. At night, the star-filled sky is magical and will be etched in your mind as a memory of your trip. Enjoy Genghis Khan and Shihoro beef (reservation required) at the Yakiniku House, or stop by Lodge Nupuka for a coffee and a drink.
