Toyoni Lake
Surrounded by virgin forest, the lake is also nicknamed "Heart Lake" because it looks like a heart when viewed from above.
It is also known locally as "Horseshoe Lake" because of its resemblance to a horse's hoof.
With a circumference of 1 kilometer and a depth of 18 meters at its deepest point, it is a quiet lake in the middle of a forest.
Around the lake, the "Ezo night heron," said to be a survivor of the Ice Age, has been confirmed to inhabit the lake.

Currently, the forest road to Lake Toyoni is open to vehicles.
(*Since snow is not plowed during the winter, the road may be impassable depending on snow conditions.)
