Yew Forest
There is a "Yew Forest" handmade by the people of Hokuryu-cho who want to cherish nature.
There is a monument to a poem by Shosuke Yoshiue, a poet associated with Hokuryu-cho, "Tamaki Haru Jinsei wo Aishimu Shinwa Wakeri Wa wa Wa ga Nasu Koto no Koto ga Saki Taisaku (The great preciousness of the work done by harmony)," and a monument to a poem by Nobuakiyo Takahashi, who was nicknamed "Dorokame-san" (Dorokame) and impressed many people in Furano's University of Tokyo Experiment Forest, "There is beauty and love in the forest and here there are also dreams," and it is a forest of relaxation for the people of the town. It is well known as a relaxing forest for the people of the town.
