SPOT
Former JR Fukana Line Numagyu Station
This is one of the wooden station buildings that ended its role as a station when the Fukana Line was discontinued in 1995 (Heisei 7).
After the Fukana Line was discontinued, it was carefully preserved by local residents for more than 20 years.
In 2013, volunteers launched the "Welcome Back Numaushi Station Executive Committee" to preserve and utilize the Numaushi Station Building, a historical structure that tells the story of the local history.
The Numaushi Station Building is a privately managed historical building that is normally closed to the public, but is used for various events and is open to the public during those events.
