Former JR Shinmei Line Numaushi Station
Overview
It is one of the wooden station buildings that finished its role as a station, together with the Shinmei Line's abolition in 1995 (Heisei 7 year).
After the Shinmei Line's abolition, it was carefully preserved by local people for approximately 20 years or more.
In 2013 (Heisei 25 year), volunteers and others launched the "Okaeri Numaushi Station Executive Committee," and are carrying out the preservation and utilization of the historical building "Numaushi Station Building," which tells the history of the region.
The Numaushi Station Building, because it is a historical building under private management, is usually said to be not open to the public, but it is being utilized in various events, and at the time of events, it is being open to the public.
