Former Hakodate West Police Station Building (Hakodate City Coastal Research Institute)
At the former site of the customs house at the time of the port's opening, in 1926 (Taisho 15) year, it was built as a water police station, and later used as the Hakodate West Police Station until 1984 year. The current building is, in 2007 year, a thing that faithfully restored the exterior of the initial construction.
