The North Pacific Seaside Line is the general name for the 321km-long coastline from Hiroo Town in Tokachi to Cape Nosappu in Nemuro City. The road along the coastline that spans the three towns of Kushiro, Atsugishi-cho, and Hamanaka-cho is named "Cape and Flower Fog Kaido," and about 40 km of it, from Matahitoki to Senpohigaki, is the Kushiro-cho coastline.
The beautiful coastline with its majestic curves and oddly shaped rocks, as well as many difficult-to-read place names, make for a unique landscape.
