Hokkaido Museum of Northern Peoples
Located about 30 minutes from Memanbetsu Airport, in Tentozan, Abashiri, Hokkaido (near the Drift Ice Museum and Museum Abashiri Prison), the Museum of Northern Peoples is the only museum in Japan dedicated to the culture of the northern peoples.

No holidays from July to September and February. The museum is closed on Mondays (if Monday is a national holiday, the museum will be open on Monday and closed on the following weekday. Closed on the following weekday), year-end and New Year holidays, and other occasional holidays.
Fee
Admission for permanent exhibitions: Adults: 550 yen, High school and university students: 200 yen
Elementary and junior high school students, persons 65 years of age or older, and persons with disabilities and their escorts are exempt.
*High school students are exempted every Saturday and when using the museum for school use.
*Please bring proof of your eligibility. Various applications, such as the application for the disability certificate, are also available.
High school students are exempted from using the service every Saturday at school.
