Okhotsk Drift Ice Museum and Tentozan Observatory

A tourist facility themed around drift ice and the creatures of the Sea of Okhotsk

In the Drift Ice World Experience Room, in addition to displaying real drift ice, you can also experience the changing times of Abashiri throughout the day through the use of light and sound to create a fantastical space.

In "Drift Ice Live Underwater," you can experience the beauty of the colors of the drift ice through a 360-degree camera, making you feel as if you are actually diving into the sea. Our staff will operate the tablet and guide you into the sea of drift ice. You can enjoy the fantastic world of drift ice.

At the "Drift Ice Fantasy Theater," you can enjoy newly shot 4K footage of drift ice, the creatures living beneath the ice, and other amazing images of nature in a dynamic five-screen theater.

The rooftop is an "observation roof gallery where you can feel the breeze," where you can enjoy the magnificent 360° panoramic view throughout the four seasons. You can also rediscover the charms of Abashiri, such as the view of the Shiretoko mountain range from Mt. Tento and the sunset reflected in Lake Abashiri.
