Hokkaido Citizens' Forest

Hokkaido Citizens' Forest is one of the largest natural parks in Japan where you can enjoy the great outdoors.

Hokkaido Citizens' Forest is an area of untouched forests and mountains covering approximately 12,000 hectares in the northern area of Tobetsu. You can experience the great outdoors unique to Hokkaido, about 1 hour and 40 minutes from central Sapporo. The site is equipped with a full range of facilities that harmonize with the forest, where magnificent scenery, fresh air, and wild birds fly around. Nature experiences such as camping, barbecues, hiking, and playing in the river await you, allowing you to forget the hustle and bustle of the city. There are also experience programs that allow you to interact with nature from various perspectives, with the themes of "gathering in the forest" and "learning from the forest". We recommend enjoying the starry sky at night and the chirping of wild birds in the morning from the campsite or cottage.
