NPO Corporation Sasaki Eisho Memorial Kushiro Wetland Art Museum
An art museum stands in the area where the Roadside Station "Akan Tancho no Sato" is located. Posthumous works and materials of Painter Eisho Sasaki (Eisho), who was born in Kushiro and was called "Painter of the Wetlands," are preserved and exhibited. The approximately 600 collected items include, besides oil paintings, watercolors, drawings, fish prints, etc., and among them, approximately 30 items are permanently exhibited in 3 rooms. Among them, in 1 room, works are replaced twice a year through special exhibitions.
