Akan International Crane Center Grus
Overview
It is Japan's only facility, which has the purpose of red-crowned crane research, information dissemination, and protection. Inside the facility, there are exhibition explanations, and outdoors, you can observe red-crowned cranes, which are kept in a state close to nature, year-round. From November to March, at the adjacent 'Annex Red-crowned Crane Observation Center', artificial feeding is carried out, and at times when there are many, you can see nearly 300 wild red-crowned cranes.
