Iwao Hot Spring Aratama-ru is a small hot spring located on a small hill along the coast, tucked away at the southern entrance to Masuge Town. The simple acidic spring water is popular for its efficacy against skin diseases and rheumatism. We look forward to welcoming you.

It is 18 kilometers from downtown Masuge-cho, about 20 minutes by car.
From Sapporo, take Route 231 north and it takes about 2 hours.
From Asahikawa, it takes about 2 hours via Routes 12 and 233.
A free shuttle bus service to Iwao Onsen is available every Tuesday and Friday from various locations in Masuge Town. Please contact the onsen for details.
