SPOT
Pacific Coal Mine Exhibition Hall
At first glance, this small exhibition hall stands quietly on top of a small hill. However, once you step inside, you will see the largest coal lump in Japan (about 6 tons) and a simulated underground tunnel that faithfully reproduces coal mining machinery and working conditions. The powerful exhibits that can only be seen in a coal mining town will surely catch your eyes! This is a must-see spot to learn about the history of Kushiro.
