Enjoy a special moment in a 103-year-old traditional building

The interior is characterized by a Taisho-era romantic atmosphere that blends Japanese and Western styles. As you enter, the Japanese-style space is on the right and the Western-style space is on the left. The Japanese-style room has an irori hearth, creating a tasteful and relaxing space.

The front garden is planted with distinctive black pines that harmonize with the exterior of the Kikusen Tea House.

Large square stones have been planted on the approach to the entrance to create a stone-paved look. These stones were donated from the Hakodate tramway about 50 years ago, giving the area a Hakodate feel. In June, hydrangeas are in full bloom in the garden.

◎ Bake your own dumpling set with drink 1,254 yen (1,380 yen including tax)

Grill it on a charcoal grill to your liking, then enjoy it with Hokkaido bean paste, mitarashi sauce, or Hokkaido kinako brown sugar syrup, as desired.
The fragrant monaka wafers are filled with cherry blossom leaves. Enjoy them topped with bean paste or dumplings to your liking.

◎ Cook your own rice ball set with a drink: 1,254 yen (1,380 yen including tax)

These rice balls are cooked in Hokkaido kelp stock and have a mild soy sauce flavor. After cooking, we add shiso leaves and dried sansho pepper. Grill them on a charcoal grill to your liking, and the fragrant, fluffy, and gentle flavor will fill your mouth. Enjoy them with Hokkaido sardines marinated in miso and clear soup. The clear soup is made by pouring hot water over them at the time of serving.
