This free campground is within walking distance of Otatomari-numa and Shiroi Koibito no Oka, popular tourist spots on Rishiri Island. The grassy sites are nicely maintained and offer a good view of Rishiri Fuji. The campground is located somewhat far from the nearest Oniwaki town center, so it is far to reach stores and convenience stores on foot, but by car or motorcycle it takes about 10 minutes. It is also known locally as a place where the stars can be seen beautifully, making it a great spot for stargazing.
