Fountain of Life Hachiman-san's Water
The five "Fountains of Life" in the town were constructed as valuable water supply facilities in the event of a disaster, based on the lessons learned from the Hokkaido Southwest Offshore Earthquake. Each of the natural stone-covered springs has its own unique Azumaya, a small park-like area where visitors can relax and enjoy themselves. Why not visit the "Fountain of Life" for the famous water that tastes so good when you make coffee or tea?
The water temperature is stable between 9 and 10 degrees Celsius.
Around the spring's entrance, which is surrounded by natural stones, azumaya (a kind of traditional Japanese-style veranda), each with its own characteristics, have been built and are used as a place for relaxation and recreation.
The "Toinomizu" was completed in 1997. The "Hachiman-san no mizu" and "Nodo no mizu" were completed in 1998, followed by "Komonai no mizu" and "Himekawa no mizu" in 1999.
