Pearson Memorial Hall
A two-story wooden Western-style house where the American missionaries Mr. and Mrs. Pearson lived
Pearson Memorial Hall is a two-story wooden Western-style house designed by William Merrell Vories and built in 1914, where Mr. and Mrs. Pearson, American missionaries, lived for 15 years.
After various alterations were made, Kitami City restored the building in 1970, and on May 31, 1971, it was opened as the Pearson Memorial Hall.
The Pearson Memorial Hall is preserved as the northernmost building designed by William Merrell Vories, and also functions as a museum for Mr. and Mrs. Pearson.
The Pearson Memorial Hall was selected as a Hokkaido Heritage Site on October 22, 2001.
