Science Museum for visitors to understand how science works
The Science Museum, which provides visitors with an understanding of how science works through scientific exhibits such as the celestial universe, is equipped with a planetarium, an astronomical observation room, and a hands-on learning room. The museum systematically introduces nature and culture from prehistoric times to the present, including an exhibit of the Tondenbouei Room, which reconstructs life in the days of the Kitami pioneering settlers.

■Walking
From Kitami Station, take Route 39 toward Abashiri and turn left at the intersection of Kitami Shinkin East Branch. At the right side of the traffic light at the top of the hill, you will see the Notsukegyu Park entrance and the Kitami Cultural Center of the Kita-Area Kitami Region in the back of the front. The trip takes about 25 minutes.
■Bus
From the Odori bus stop, take the Kitami Bus No. 3 (Toryo Undo Koen Line) or No. 11 (Koizumi, Hikari no En Line).
Get off at the Cultural Center. 2 minute walk.
Take Kitami Bus No. 8, Yuhigaoka Line (Koizumi No. 8 ⇔ Nishi No. 8 circulation) and get off at the Children's Consultation Center. A 3-minute walk.
By Car
Please use the Notsukegyu Park parking lot.
