A town for raising children, connected to major cities by Memanbetsu Airport, and colored by moss phlox and the 'Märchen Hill.'

Population:6,400
Ozora Town is located in the Okhotsk Subprefecture in northeastern Hokkaido, and is a town with a population of about 7,000, formed in 2006 through the merger of Memanbetsu Town and Higashimokoto Village.
The town is home to "Memanbetsu Airport," the aerial gateway to the Okhotsk region, and boasts outstanding accessibility, so much so that it is referred to as the "neighboring town to Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka," due to its direct connections to these major metropolitan areas.
The climate is characterized by low temperatures and little rainfall, with over 2,000 hours of sunshine annually, meaning it is blessed with many refreshing, sunny days throughout the year.
The average maximum temperature in summer is a comfortable 25 degrees Celsius, while the average minimum temperature in winter drops to around minus 15 degrees Celsius. In this distinct climate, you can enjoy the beautiful great outdoors that encapsulates the essence of Hokkaido, including the vast shores of Lake Abashiri and Lake Memanbetsu, "Meruhen no Oka (Fairy Tale Hill)" which overlooks the horizon, and "Higashimokoto Shibazakura Park," where the entire area is dyed a vibrant pink.
The primary industry is agriculture, with large-scale cultivation of wheat, sugar beets, beans, and a wide variety of vegetables thriving on its fertile land.
Furthermore, the town is putting great effort into enhancing childcare support, promoting the creation of a warm community where everyone can feel safe and shine, under the slogan "A Town that Supports Child-Rearing."
