SPOT
Approximately 8 kilometers from the Higashimokoto town center towards Mount Mokoto. In spring, the slopes of a small hill dyed in a vivid pink color become 'Higashimokoto Shibazakura Park'.
The best time to see them is from mid-May to early June. When in full bloom, the vast 100,000 square meter slope is beautifully colored, as if a velvet carpet has been laid out. Events are also spectacular, such as the 'Higashimokoto Shibazakura Festival' held annually from May 3rd to late May.
In addition, there are go-karts on an 820-meter track, log playground equipment, a fishing pond with rainbow trout, and a campground complete with uniquely designed bungalows, making it a spot that families can enjoy.
