Giant banbai horses race! The charm of the powerful "Banei Horse Racing" [Jyakamichan Dropkick X Mame Anime Collaboration (1)
The third anime season of "Jyakami-chan Dropkick", a slightly dangerous comedy about a girl and a demon "Jyakami-chan" living together, "Jyakami-chan Dropkick X" will start airing from July 2022.
Prior to the full-length broadcast in July, "Jyakami-chan Dropkick X Mame Anime (Hokkaido version)" will begin on Hokkaido Bunka Broadcasting (UHB) on Wednesday, April 6, 2022!
In collaboration with Domingo, we will introduce various attractions of Hokkaido that will be introduced in the blistering anime! We hope you will enjoy it along with the anime!
Let's take a look at the first episode of the Hokkaido version of the Mame Anime!
Evil God is very powerful! The charm of the powerful "Banei Horse Racing"!
Banei Keiba" is the only horse race in the world held in Hokkaido. How is it different from ordinary horse racing? The "Obihiro Racecourse" that appears in the Mame anime is the racing track for Banei Horse Racing. It is located in Obihiro City in the east of the vast island of Hokkaido.
Here is the actual race. Let's look for what is different from a normal horse race!
First of all, the jockey is not on the horse. And the horse is pulling an iron sled. The horses that run in Banei Horse Racing are not thoroughbreds, but a type of large horse called a "banba" horse. It is amazing that they weigh more than one ton, twice as much as thoroughbreds.
This huge horse pulls an iron sled with a weight of up to one ton. Evil God was pulling the sled as hard as he could, but he is very strong!
It is so powerful because a one-ton horse pulls a one-ton sled and races against each other!
The course is a straight 200 m. There are hills along the way, and the horses have to stop many times. Spectators cheer on their horses as they run alongside them.
Banei horse racing offers a unique attraction and a unique way to enjoy it. Even first-time visitors can easily understand how to buy tickets!
Also, the manes are sometimes braided and decorated, which is unique to Banei horse racing. It makes the huge horses look even more adorable!

What is "Jyoshin-chan Dropkick X Mame Anime (Hokkaido)"?
Prior to the airing of the full-length version in July, "Mame-Anime (Hokkaido version)" will be broadcast on Hokkaido Bunka Hoso from April 6!
