Let's dance joyfully for both children and adults! Furano "Hokkai Navel Festival" [Evil God Girl Dropkick X Mame Anime Collaboration (12)
This is the final installment of the three-month collaboration project between "Jyoshin-chan Dropkick X Mame Anime (Hokkaido)" and Domingo! And please look forward to "Jyoshin-chan Dropkick X" starting in July! The theme of the 12th installment is "Hokkai navel festival".
In Furano, "Hokkai Navel Festival" is held on July 28 and 29 every year. The festival is held every year on July 28 and 29 in Furano, where people dance in formation to the rhythm of "Hokkai Heso Ondo," with faces called "zubara" painted on their bellies.
The zubara, which are painted with different touches by different painters, wiggle and move according to the body shape of the dancers, drawing laughter from the audience. Among them, the big belly dancers are the most powerful and dynamic! It is especially dynamic and draws cheers from the audience.
But why is the navel dance performed in Furano? Furano is actually the center of Hokkaido, and the Furano Citizens' Charter states, "We are citizens of Furano, where the central marker of Hokkaido stands. In other words, Furano is the belly button of Hokkaido. There is also a character named "Navel Marukun" who appeared in an animation!
The first Hokkai Navel Festival was held on August 15, 1969. At first, there were some who objected to the act of showing the navel, saying it was obscene or indecent. However, the creators of the festival never gave up on the romanticism of the navel, believing that the navel is the bond of love between parents and children and the source of life.
Thus, the Hokkai Navel Festival has continued to this day and is now a summer tradition in Furano. Before the festival, young men perform misogi at the Kitama Shrine to ensure that the festival is safe and enjoyable.
Children and adults alike can participate in the festival and dance mindlessly, or watch and laugh heartily. The Hokkai Heso Festival has become the pride of Furano and brightens up the short summer season in the northern part of Japan.

What is "Jyoshin-chan Dropkick X Mame Anime (Hokkaido)"?
Prior to the airing of the full-length version in July, "Mame-Anime (Hokkaido version)" will be broadcast on Hokkaido Bunka Hoso from April 6! In the video, Evil God and his group visit various places in Hokkaido, and Hatsune Miku, who is an expert on Hokkaido, makes an appearance. The video is linked to " Domingo (Crypton Future Media)," a media company that introduces the attractions of Hokkaido, and viewers will be able to learn more about the local governments introduced in the video.
