The long-awaited "Shogi Japan Series JT Professional Tournament" for shogi fans kicks off on June 25, 2022. On September 23 (Friday, a national holiday), the fourth match of the second round of the Hokkaido Tournament will be held at the Sapporo Convention Center, featuring a battle between Ryuo Sota Fujii and 9-dan Yoshiharu Habu.
To commemorate the tournament being held in Hokkaido, the "Shogi Japan Series JT Professional Tournament / TableMark Children's Tournament Hokkaido Tournament Commemorative Dosanko Specialty Products PR Dojo Supported by Domingo" will be held the day before, on September 22 (Thursday) from 18:30!
Presenting Hokkaido's Specialty Products to Ryuo Fujii & 9-dan Habu!
The vast land of Hokkaido is home to many yet-to-be-discovered specialty products! For this event, seven municipalities—Asahikawa, Obihiro, Kitami, Kushiro, Sapporo, Tomakomai, and Hakodate—will present their prized local products to the visiting shogi players. We are holding this event with the hope that by showcasing the culinary charms of Hokkaido now, many people will be inspired to visit and taste them for themselves.
