What is "Hokkaido Soba Fest 2023"?

The inaugural "Hokkaido Soba Fest 2023" will be held at Odori Park West 8-chome for a total of 10 days from October 18 (Wed) to 29 (Sun), 2023. Delicious soba noodles made from new buckwheat grown and harvested in various regions of Hokkaido will be served at the festival.

The event will be divided into two phases, the first from October 18 (Wed) to 22 (Sun) and the second from October 25 (Wed) to 29 (Sun), with each phase featuring a different vendor. There will also be a variety of gourmet foods and sweets other than soba at the venue. The price is based on a ticket system, with one bowl of soba costing 800 yen (tax included). There is also a special ticket that includes a cup of soba and a drink for 1,250 yen (tax included). There are two ways to purchase tickets: in advance or at the door.

Phase 1 (October 18-22): New soba from all over Hokkaido

During the first season from October 18 (Wed.) to 22 (Sun.), there will be a wide variety of new buckwheat noodles, both standard and unique, including buckwheat produced in Horokanai, the largest producer of buckwheat in Japan, and Dattan-soba, which is attracting attention for its excellent nutritional value! In addition, a variety of toppings are available, so you can enjoy your meal no matter how many times you come.

Phase 2 (October 25-29): "Hegi-Soba" guest stall from Niigata Prefecture

During the second phase from October 25 (Wed.) to 29 (Sun.), "hegi soba," which originated in Niigata Prefecture and uses seaweed called funori as a binder, will make an appearance. Other soba restaurants will also be open, such as Beef Soba and Yubari Curry Soba, where visitors can enjoy the depth of soba.

In addition to alcohol and soft drink sales and a booth selling soba-related products, the venue will also offer a variety of gourmet foods other than soba, such as yakitori, sushi, oden, and sweets!
