The popular Sapporo Yakimo Terrace, an event that brings color to the autumn in Sapporo, was held for the first time in 2023 and attracted approximately 30,000 visitors, and will be held again in 2024! This year, the number of stalls and the size of the venue have been significantly expanded, with a total of approximately 20 stalls, including baked sweet potato shops and sweets booths. The tastes unique to autumn will be gathered at Nakajima Park in Sapporo, including baked sweet potatoes and sweet potato sweets made with special recipes, as well as alcoholic beverages such as shochu, sake, and craft beer, and snacks made with seasonal autumn ingredients. A huge gathering of unique sweet potato booths!

In 2024, seven baked sweet potato booths will appear, each offering special baked sweet potatoes baked using their own unique method. You can enjoy the different flavors and textures of each baked sweet potato, such as pot-baked and stone-baked, and discover new charms of baked sweet potatoes. In addition, more sweets booths and food trucks will be installed, offering a wide variety of appealing sweets made with sweet potatoes, including sweet potato brulee, baked sweet potato cream buns, and sweet potato versions of popular sweets such as kurungji and ttunkalon.

The venue is Nakajima Park, which is also known as a famous spot for viewing autumn leaves.

In addition to roasted sweet potatoes and sweets, this year's terrace will also offer alcoholic beverages such as shochu and sake collected from sake breweries across the country, as well as wine and craft beer. The venue, Nakajima Park Minami 9-jo Square, is located immediately outside Nakajima Park Station on the Namboku Subway Line, in front of the Sapporo Children's Puppet Theater Kogumaza and Nakajima Children's Hall. The scale of the event has been expanded to about three times that of the previous event, with about 300 seats available, including tent seats and standing counters. Nakajima Park, where the event is held, is also known as a famous spot for viewing autumn leaves, and the ginkgo trees line the streets in golden yellow each year during the event, so you can be sure of having a luxurious experience enjoying roasted sweet potatoes and other sweets in a special space.
