You can often see the sight of rolling straw rolls in Hokkaido 👀.
These rolls are made of straw that is left after harvesting, and are used as soft beds for cows and other animals.
In some towns, competitions are held at festivals using large, very heavy straw rolls!
Yamahiko Waterfall (Engaru Town)
Yamahiko Waterfall. It takes about 10 minutes on foot from the parking lot to reach this waterfall.
There were no people early in the morning, and the moment I reached there, I was mesmerized by the fall and the beauty of the waterfall while being careful of bears.
This is one of the many times I changed the composition of the photo. I would like to visit this place again.

The light shining on the cascading waterfall creates a very mysterious space.
During the peak of winter cold, the waterfall freezes and looks like a single pillar. The spot is also lit up, making it even more beautiful, making it a spot to visit again during the winter months ✨.

A roadside station in Otosoro where we stopped during our trip.

The roadside station "Natsuzora no Furusato" in Otosoro Town offers not only delicious gourmet food, but also a store selling agricultural and livestock products, hands-on events, and an adjacent park and plaza, all of which are characteristic of a town rich in nature with a thriving agricultural industry.
It is a great place to stop by for a family outing or sightseeing tour of Tokachi!
