Basic Information about Daiwa House PREMIST Dome (Sapporo Dome)
During soccer matches and concerts, the sidewalks are packed with people.
"Daiwa House PREMIST Dome" and "Sapporo Dome" refer to the same venue; it has been operating under the name "Daiwa House PREMIST Dome" since 2024. It is the home stadium of the professional soccer team "Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo" and is also known for hosting concerts by famous domestic and international artists.
Access to Daiwa House PREMIST Dome (Sapporo Dome)
The Dome is about a 10-minute walk from Exit 3 of Fukuzumi Station.
The Dome is located in the suburbs, away from central Sapporo, so access options are limited. When using public transportation, you can get there by subway or bus, but the most common way is to walk from Fukuzumi Station on the Subway Toho Line.
Getting to the Dome by Subway
The nearest station to the Dome is Fukuzumi Station on the Subway Toho Line. It's about a 13-minute ride from Sapporo Station on a train bound for Fukuzumi, and then about a 10-minute walk from Fukuzumi Station to the Dome. However, during large concerts, the sidewalks from the station to the Dome are not very wide and become crowded with people, so be sure to allow extra time for walking.
After events and concerts, the crowds are especially heavy, which means it will take longer to get around. The ticket machines at Fukuzumi Station also get very congested, so it's a good idea to charge your SUICA or other transportation IC card in advance.
Getting to the Dome by Local Bus
Several local bus routes pass by the bus stop closest to the Dome. Buses depart from Sapporo Station, as well as Hiragishi and Makomanai Stations on the Subway Namboku Line, and Nango-18-chome and Oyachi Stations on the Subway Tozai Line. However, most of these routes run only once or twice an hour, so this option is best for those with flexible schedules.
The bus from Sapporo Station provides direct access from the "Sapporo Ekimae" bus stop to the "Sapporo Dome" bus stop. The ride takes about 32 minutes, but this can vary depending on traffic conditions, so it's recommended to allow plenty of time.
Also, note that the Sapporo Ekimae bus stop is located a short distance from Sapporo Station, on the south side of the Sapporo Tokyu Department Store. If you are transferring from a JR line, it takes about 10 minutes to walk from the ticket gates to the bus stop, so be sure to factor that travel time into your plans.
Getting to the Dome by Airport Limousine Bus from New Chitose Airport
Some of the airport limousine buses that connect New Chitose Airport with downtown Sapporo pass right in front of the Dome and stop at the "Sapporo Dome" bus stop. These buses run every 15 minutes during the day, making them a convenient option for those traveling from outside Hokkaido to support their favorite artists at the Dome.
However, the last bus that stops at the "Sapporo Dome" bus stop is in the 6 PM hour, so you cannot use it for your return trip after evening events. If your event finishes before the evening, it's possible to take the airport limousine bus directly to New Chitose Airport, but be aware that this bus comes from downtown Sapporo and makes several stops within the city, so there's a risk it might be full and you won't be able to get on.
Are there shuttle buses to the Dome?
While shuttle buses used to run during large events in the past, as of April 2025, they are generally not in operation.
What's the Hotel Situation Around the Dome?
Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill, a tourist spot near the Dome.
Fukuzumi Station, the closest station to the Dome, has a supermarket and a bus terminal, but it's primarily a residential area, so there are no large hotels nearby. If you're coming for an event like a concert at the Dome and need to stay overnight, the best area to look for a hotel is around Sapporo Station. The next best options are around Odori Station or Hosui-Susukino Station, and along the Toho Subway Line for convenient travel. Here are some recommended hotels in each area.
Convenient Hotels for Dome Visitors [Sapporo Station Area]
JR Sapporo Station
The first place anyone would likely think to look for a hotel is the area around JR Sapporo Station, which is also the most convenient for Dome visitors. Trains from New Chitose Airport arrive at JR Sapporo Station every 10 minutes during the day, and limited express trains from other parts of Hokkaido, like Asahikawa and Hakodate, also terminate here. Staying in this area allows you to go straight to your hotel after getting off the JR train, drop off your luggage, and then head to the Dome with just one transfer. It's the most accessible area for those traveling from far away. Here are five recommended hotels in this area.

Despite being a city-center hotel, it also has a large public bath.
Convenient Hotels for Dome Visitors [Susukino Area]
Susukino
Along with the Sapporo Station and Odori areas, another recommended area is around "Susukino," Hokkaido's largest entertainment district. There are numerous restaurants open late into the night and a large number of hotels. Among these hotels, those located near Hosui-Susukino Station, which is two stops from Sapporo Station on the Toho Subway Line, are particularly convenient for Dome visitors. It's about a 10-minute ride on the Toho Line from Hosui-Susukino Station to Fukuzumi Station, the closest station to the Dome. Here are five recommended hotels in this area.
