EVENT 1 Art Forest Marche Yao Cafe: A Place for Students and the Community to Connect (Sapporo)

Yao Cafe

Held in front of Sapporo City University's Geijutsu-no-mori Campus in Sapporo's Minami Ward, "Yao Cafe" is a community market created by students and the local community. It's a market where people of all ages and backgrounds can casually connect through stalls, play areas, health consultations, and stage performances. The first event of 2025 will be on Sunday, May 18. It is scheduled to be held six times in total, about once a month.

The event is for people in their teens and 20s who are from or interested in the Doto region. It's a relaxed gathering to chat about life in Tokyo, thoughts on hometowns, and future paths while enjoying a BBQ. Recommended for those looking to find new friends and connections!

Ocean Cleanup Mission

The "Hokkaido Ocean Cleanup Mission! vol. 5," an event to clean up Hokkaido's seas together, will be held at 48 locations across the prefecture on Wednesday, May 14 and Saturday, May 17, 2025! The cleanups will take place at various coasts and river areas, including Iwanai Marine Beach, and you can join by simply showing up at the location. Registration starts at 9:30 AM, and the cleanup begins at 10:00 AM. It's an environmental conservation initiative that beginners and families can easily participate in.

"NoMaps" is an urban festival held in Sapporo in September. In 2025, a kick-off event for its new category, "NoMaps FOOD," will be held on Thursday, May 15. You can taste prototypes like a "future croquette sandwich" made with banana-derived starch and breadcrumbs from fish scales, and interact with the developers.

The "Serious Reforestation! Part-Time Job Tour 2025" in Urahoro, Hokkaido, is a 6-day, 5-night short tour where you can experience forestry and earn money. During the period from May 11 to 16, you will participate in tree planting work with the cooperation of Kitamura Forestry, with a daily wage of 9,200 yen. Accommodation is at "Hahaha Hostel," and beginners with no forestry experience are welcome. This is a great opportunity for those interested in forest creation and nature. The application deadline is Friday, May 2.
