Heralding the arrival of winter in Sapporo, the "Sapporo Factory Jumbo Christmas Tree" is back again this year in the Sapporo Factory Atrium. On November 1st, a lighting ceremony for the tree and illuminations will be held by children. With the countdown, the tree, the atrium ceiling, and the Christmas arch will all light up at once.

The approximately 15-meter-tall jumbo Christmas tree is a Sakhalin fir gifted from Hiroo Town, home to Japan's only "Santa Land." During the light and music show held every hour from 4:00 PM daily, the brilliant ornaments sparkle, enveloping the atrium in a fantastical light. The illuminated red-brick building and chimney square are also a must-see.
