Pork bowls are becoming a well established specialty of Obihiro.
Recently, tourists from outside of Hokkaido seem to be visiting Obihiro to enjoy buta-don as one of their favorite pastimes.

Of course, there are many popular restaurants in the area, but we would like to introduce a long-established tempura restaurant called "Hageden. Some of you may be wondering, "A tempura restaurant and yet a pork bowl?" But it is very popular among the locals as well. Let's check it out.

Hagedori was founded in Otaru in 1934. After moving to Obihiro, they started serving not only tempura, but also pork bowls, which became a hit when they started serving it as a specialty of Obihiro (see ......). The reputation grew and soon it became a signature dish.
Tontodon is currently available in two varieties: four loin pieces (1,000 yen including tax) and six pieces (1,430 yen including tax). While waiting for your order, the aroma of the secret sauce cooking tickles your nose and raises your expectations. The pork bowl that arrives on the table is this beautifully illuminated and shiny!
The tender and flavorful pork and the sweet and spicy sauce that is mixed with the pork are irresistible. It is a very simple dish, but one that any Japanese person would love. It is also a nice touch that the dish comes with a side dish of pickled vegetables and soup. ...... However, despite the popularity of buta-don, this is a tempura restaurant. Naturally, the tempura is also excellent.

I still want to try tempura!" If so, we recommend the top tempura set meal (2,250 yen including tax) shown in the photo. For those who are greedy and want to try both pork and tempura, we recommend the pork tempura set meal (2,250 yen including tax) shown in the photo. For those who are greedy and want to try both pork and tempura, we also offer a pork bowl and tempura set (1,780 yen including tax). Please consult with us about your appetite at the time of your visit.

By the way, the impressive name of the restaurant was named after the head of the first owner, Shoroku Yano, by one of his seniors. It is a unique and easy-to-remember name, so be sure to remember it when you visit Obihiro.
