Dot Miso Inc. (President: Ayumi Yasuoka, Head office: Shibuya, Tokyo), in collaboration with Ebetsu Tsutaya and misodology Co., Ltd. will hold its largest-ever miso-only pop-up event, "Nippon Miso Michinaka Miso in Ebetsu," the largest miso-only pop-up event ever held in Ebetsu.

The limited-time pop-up "Nippon Miso Michu in Ebetsu," where visitors can experience the traditions and new possibilities of miso, will be held simultaneously on the food floor of Ebetsu Tsutaya (Hokkaido) and Dot Miso's online website. The lineup will feature unique products from a total of 16 miso breweries and producers.

In addition to traditional miso products such as miso made in traditional wooden vats and miso made using the fantastic "miso ball" method, there will also be craft colas made from miso, cookies to compare the deep flavors of miso, organic craft sauces made from miso, miso accessories, and other products that will turn the concept of miso on its head. The theme of the event is "Tradition".

Since miso was introduced to Japan in the Asuka period (710-794), it has become an indispensable food on the tables of Japanese people. Miso soup has become the soul food of the Japanese people, with each household and region creating its own unique flavor and culture.

However, due to the declining birthrate and the diversification of diets, the amount of miso consumed by each household is decreasing year by year.

The "Nippon Miso Road Trip in Ebetsu" will be held under two themes: "Tradition," which connects local flavors and traditions, and "NEO," which challenges and communicates the new appeal of miso. This is a pop-up event where you can experience the fun of miso, its charms, and how to use miso in ways other than just miso soup and stir-fry.
