"Fujino Outdoor Sports Exchange Facility Fuds" has a vast site of about 330,000 square meters. It is an experiential year-round facility, and in the winter it becomes "Fuds Snow Area", a ski resort with a total of 6 courses. It has a family course and a mogul-only run, and is a ski resort that can be enjoyed by beginners to advanced skiers, with a maximum length of 1.8 kilometers and a maximum slope of 38 degrees.
The highlight is the Luge Stadium, which was built as a training course for the Sapporo Olympics held in 1972 (Showa 47). Nagano Prefecture and Hoods are the only two in Japan that have this training course for luge competitions. Luge experience classes are held in January and February and are open to everyone. The speed is 25 to 30 kilometers per hour, but it feels like you are going twice or even three times that speed (fee required).
