2. Sapporo Teine (Sapporo)
This is a comprehensive leisure facility on Mt. Teine, which transforms entirely into a ski resort in winter. It features a variety of courses, including the Women's Giant Slalom and Men's/Women's Slalom courses used in the 1972 Sapporo Olympics—a must-try for any skier. The course starting from the still-standing Olympic cauldron offers the thrilling sensation of diving straight into Ishikari Bay. 3. Sapporo Bankei Ski Area (Sapporo)
Close to central Sapporo and with night skiing available until 10 PM, this ski area is convenient enough to visit even after work. It features 17 courses, from gentle slopes for families to the FIS-certified ban.k Mogul Course, which was a venue for the 2017 Sapporo Asian Winter Games, and the largest half-pipe in Japan, the ban.k Halfpipe. 4. Sapporo Moiwayama Ski Resort (Sapporo)
Located just a 20-minute drive from downtown Sapporo, this ski resort spreads across the slopes of the 531-meter-high Mt. Moiwa. The "Fujino Outdoor Sports Community Facility Fu's," set on a vast 330,000-square-meter site, is a year-round hands-on facility that becomes "Fu's Snow Area" in winter with six ski courses.
