Sapporo Racecourse
The new Sapporo Racecourse offers comfortable rooftop terrace seating and family fun
Sapporo Racecourse is a horse racecourse in Sapporo City where central horse races sponsored by the Japan Racing Association (JRA) are held. The grand opening took place in July 2014 with a major renovation of spectator stands and other facilities. The "Moiwa Terrace," a 120-meter long terrace on the second floor of the newly built stands, is recommended for watching the Hokkaido Series, which is held at Sapporo Racecourse during the summer season. The terrace seats offer a panoramic view of the entire course, as well as the cityscape of Sapporo and Mt. In addition, there is "Hanamichi" where you can see racehorses up close, "Makiba Garden" where horses are exhibited in a grazing area, and "Kids Land" with a tree house.
