Sapporo Teine
Skiing down the Sapporo Olympic Stadium, conquering Mt. Teine according to your mood and level
This is a comprehensive leisure facility located on Mt. Teine, and the entire mountain is a ski resort in winter. Teine in winter, the entire mountain is a ski resort. It consists of the Olympia Zone near the foot of the mountain and the Highland Zone including the top of the mountain, with a variety of courses.
The 2-kilometer "Women's Giant Slalom Course" and the 700-meter "Men's and Women's Slalom Course," which were used in the 1972 Sapporo Olympics, are courses that every skier should try at least once. Starting from the torch tower, which still remains today, you can enjoy the sensation of diving into Ishikari Bay.
For even more thrills, we recommend the "Kitakabe," a steep descent through the woods. The 6-kilometer-long beginner course, the longest in Hokkaido, is an exhilarating, sweeping descent from the top of the mountain through both zones.
Snowland, an area for small children to play, is located in the Olympia Zone. Visitors can enjoy sledding and snow tubing.
Hot Cafe 1024" is located at the top of Mount Teine at an elevation of 1023 meters. Soba, udon, and other light meals are available. Below you can see the cityscape of Sapporo and even the Sea of Japan in the distance. It is worth the climb just to see the spectacular view.
