A panoramic view of Lake Kussharo spreads out below

Of the three passes from which you can view Lake Kussharo, Bihoro Pass is the most famous.
The view of Lake Kussharo from the 525-meter-high observatory, with the central island in the center of the lake, is a magnificent contrast between the green of the trees and the blue sky. The view of Lake Kussharo is breathtakingly large and beautiful, and is often referred to as "the best view in the world. The sea of clouds in the early morning and the sunrise on New Year's Day are also powerful, making this one of the most panoramic views in Japan.
At the top of the pass, there is a large parking lot and a roadside station. The rest house has a resting area, a souvenir store, and a snack corner. The observatory is located a short walk up from the rest house, so it is definitely worth stopping by for a rest.
