Kamiiso Dam Park

The Kamiiso Dam was constructed as a national irrigation and drainage project. A four-month survey and plan was initiated in 1967, the overall implementation design was completed in 1971, construction began in 1972, and it was completed in 1991.

From 1990 to 1993, the park, campground, and other facilities were developed, and cherry trees were also planted at that time. The types of cherry trees include Oyamazakura, Somei Yoshino, Kanzan, Naden, Fugenzo, Ukon, and Ichiyo, and you can enjoy the cherry blossoms from early to late May, which is the cherry blossom season. The vividly blooming hydrangea flowers around August are also popular.
