Kamiiso Dam Park
Kamiiso Dam was built in order to modernize local agriculture, improve productivity, and stabilize agricultural management. Surveys and planning began in 1967 and the overall design was completed in 1971. Construction began in 1972 as a national irrigation and drainage project and was completed in 1991.
Parks and campgrounds were developed between 1990 and 1993, and cherry trees were planted at the time. The types of cherry trees include Oyamazakura, Someiyoshino, Sekizan, Nanden, Fugenzo, Ukon, and Ichiyo, and you can enjoy the cherry blossoms from early May to the end of May, which is the cherry blossom season. The colorful hydrangeas that bloom around August are also popular.
