Ino Tadataka Commemorative Park for the Start of Surveying Hokkaido
As long as people have dreams and keep walking forward, they do not need the rest of their lives.
When he created the "Complete Map of the Maritime Areas of Japan," there is a record that the survey of the Ezo region began in Yoshioka, Fukushima-cho. To pass on his achievements to future generations, a memorial park was built in 2018, the 200th anniversary of his death. The park includes a bronze statue of Ino Tadataka and his achievements. In the park, there is a bronze statue and an explanatory board describing his achievements.
