Yokozuna Chiyozan and Chiyonofuji Memorial Museum

Celebrates the achievements of the two great yokozuna from Fukushima Town.

The birthplace of the 41st Yokozuna Chiyozan and the 58th Yokozuna Chiyonofuji. Visitors can learn about the history of these two great yokozuna, who were also mentors and disciples, and the culture of sumo. There are many exhibits in the museum, including yokozuna ropes, championship trophies, a large ginkgo tree from when Chiyonofuji cut his hair, and a certificate of national honor. In addition, the training hall and ring of the Kokonoe stable have been recreated, and a training camp for the stable is also held here. (Please check the website for the dates of the camp.)
