Roadside Station "Yokozuna no Sato Fukushima"
Overview
Fukushima Town is one of the largest producers of surume in Japan, and offers a wide variety of souvenirs such as fresh and thick surume and marine products that are the pride of southern Hokkaido. The town is also famous for having produced two yokozuna, the 41st Yokozuna Chiyozan and the 58th Yokozuna Chiyonofuji, and has the "Yokozuna Chiyozan and Chiyonofuji Memorial Museum" within the area of the roadside station.
