Kaikyo Yokozuna Beach
Overview
Opened in 2011, this is one of the largest sandy artificial beaches in southern Hokkaido. Surrounded by a curved jetty, there is no need to worry about being swept away by rough waves, and the maximum depth is shallow at 1.5 m, making it safe for children to play. On a fine day, the Tsugaru Peninsula can be seen across the ocean, making it the perfect location to enjoy the beach.
