SPOT
Ikeda Wine Castle
A winery with a history of over 50 years known for its "Tokachi Wine". Its official name is "Ikeda Town Institute of Grapes and Grape Wine," and it is familiarly known as "Wine Castle" because of its resemblance to an old castle in the European Middle Ages. The wine castle is full of fun, with French oak barrels and old vintages in the underground aging room where wine quietly sleeps, a shopping area on the first floor where you can buy Tokachi wine and other local products of Ikeda Town, and a restaurant on the fourth floor.
The castle has a tour course starting from the front first floor, and visitors are free to tour the castle from 9:00 to 17:00. On the east side of the castle, there is a wine factory where visitors can see the wine bottling process in action.
