Toma Limestone Cave
Discovered in 1957, the Toma Limestone Cave boasts a total length of 135 meters. It is a limestone cave formed over an unimaginably long period since the Jurassic period, 150 million years ago, by the corrosive action of groundwater, and is known as an important limestone cave where you can see the academically extremely rare 'macaroni stalactites'.
Because the inside of the cave looks like two dragons lying down, it is also known by the alias 'Ezo Banryudo'.
It was designated as a Natural Monument of Hokkaido in 1961.
