Asahidake Ropeway is a popular tourist spot where you can easily visit Hokkaido's highest mountain "Asahidake" and enjoy an aerial walk of about 10 minutes. It operates throughout the year (※with inspection periods) and guides you to the dynamic four seasons of the Daisetsuzan mountain range. Up to 101 people can ride at one time, and you can appreciate the panorama of Daisetsuzan seen from the car window.

From July to August, various alpine plants bloom, and mountain climbers visit as trekking can be enjoyed in the cool climate. In the latter half of September's Silver Week, many tourists from both Japan and abroad visit to catch a glimpse of the peak of autumn leaves viewed from the car window. In winter, rare natural phenomena such as diamond dust and sun pillars may appear, and there are not a few photographers aiming for that moment.

■Skiing・Snowboarding
Asahidake is known for its world of silver-white spread across one surface and high-quality powder snow, attracting skiers and snowboarders who enjoy backcountry skiing from all over the world. Asahidake Ropeway also operates during the winter period, taking skiers up to 1,600m instead of a ski lift.

In mid-winter, temperatures can reach minus 20℃, and while weather conditions are harsh, it is a place that receives tremendous support from outdoor fans who can enjoy light, dancing snow and beautiful nature such as diamond dust and sun pillars.
