A cape facing the Tsugaru Strait, protruding to the southeast of Mt. Hakodate. In a form protruding into the sea, a cliff of approximately 30m above sea level stands towering. Surrounded by the sea with sheer cliffs, it is a place of superb views where you can overlook the coastline leading from Omori Beach to Yunokawa Onsen town, and the Tsugaru Strait.

One corner of the plaza is maintained as "Hamanasu Park", and many Rugosa Roses, which are Hokkaido's flower, are planted, and in summer, they entertain us with their pleasant-smelling pink-colored flowers. There is also a shop called "Hamanasu" by that name, but its business is only during the summer period.

For the prevention of accidents due to road surface freezing, etc. on the slope, vehicle traffic is prohibited during the winter season. Only passage on foot will be possible.
