A cape facing the Tsugaru Straits juts out to the southeast of Hakodate Mt. The cape juts out into the sea, with towering cliffs rising approximately 30 meters above sea level. Surrounded by the sea, the cliff offers a spectacular view of the coastline leading from Omori-hama to Yunokawa Onsen Town and the Tsugaru Straits.

A corner of the square is maintained as "Hamanasu Park," where many hamanas, Hokkaido's flower, are planted and delight visitors with their fragrant pink flowers in summer. There is also a store called "Hamanasu," but it is only open during the summer.

To prevent accidents due to icy road surfaces on the slopes, the path is closed to vehicles during the winter. Only foot traffic is allowed.
