The Former Seto Residence, Wakkanai which bottom trawling (sokobiki) fishery's front-line base as vitality with overflowing was Shōwa 20s in, offshore bottom trawling fishery's master "Mr. Seto Tsunezō"'s residence as was built.
Heisei 24 (2012) in general public was opened this residence inside in, that time's banquet scene which is reproduced besides, Wakkanai's fishery concerning exhibits etc. which there are, Wakkanai's history to feel facility as has become.
Also the Former Seto Residence, Wakkanai City in first becoming nation's "Registered Tangible Cultural Property" to was registered. (Registration name: Former Seto Family Residence Main Building" Registration year and month: Heisei 25 (2013) June)
