White Path

The "White Path" in the Soya Hills is a path made of crushed scallop shells, a specialty of Wakkanai, that stretches about 3 km on the goal side (Soya area side) of the "Soya Hills Footpath Course (about 11 km in total length)", a Wakkanai footpath. The road is made of crushed scallop shells, a specialty of Wakkanai.

Since the road was paved for the first time in 2011, the contrast between the blue sky and sea, the green grass and flowers, and the white road has become a popular sightseeing spot in Wakkanai, and has been gaining popularity on SNS and other social media in recent years.

It is worth seeing the 57 windmills, the view of Sakhalin (former Sakhalin) in the distance, and the 360-degree view of Mount Rishiri and the circum-glacial landforms of Hokkaido's heritage.

Please be careful when walking on the road, as ordinary vehicles will be passing by. Please refrain from parking in such a way as to obstruct vehicles, and please refrain from entering the pasture.
